Raw Material Sources

Dovetail Timberworks is committed to producing products in a sustainable manner and has been working hard to build a network of local suppliers that employ low-impact harvesting techniques.  Brent’s formal training is from the Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Management at UNB so he is familiar with ecological forestry practices and has high standards when choosing log suppliers.  Many suppliers we work with participate in official certification programs – tell us your ethical sourcing criteria and we’ll work to meet them!

Whenever possible we work with local producers of products we need to purchase and have all of our timbers and lumber sawn just down the road!

Low-Impact Products

We use time-tested products with a lower ecological footprint in our client projects, but are also regularly testing other products for suitability and durability so we can feel comfortable suggesting them to clients.
